The course is an experiential intensive training programme, for people wanting to facilitate groups for perpetrators of domestic violence.

The topics covered will include:

Understanding domestic violence
Challenging denial minimisation and blame
Children and domestic violence

Understanding why men abuse

Understanding masculinity - men and emotions, power, self esteem and shame
Working with sexual abuse
Developing victim empathy
Using role play and drama
Choosing appropriate programme content
Skills practice
Effects on practitioners - appropriate support and supervision
Multi - agency working
