S.T.O.P. are delighted to announce that following a very difficult year for us, we have been successful with a Big Lottery Reaching Communities Grant of £500,000 towards our running costs for 4 years.

Who are we ?

S.T.O.P (Start Treating Others Positively) is a registered charity 1066519

 
Our aim is to contribute to the reduction of domestic violence and abuse within the home. To break the cycle of abuse.
 
We work directly with male and female perpetrators who attend the groups voluntarily. We offer support to victims. We provide training, supervision and share good practice with other organisations.

Our services

Four group sessions each weekclick here

Four group sessions each week, three for men and one for women, who want to change their violent or abusive behaviour towards their partner.

One to One Counsellingclick here

One to One Counselling is available in addition to group work. (not instead of) SUBJECT TO FUNDING.

Two Women's Support Groupsclick here

Two Women's Support Groups run in partnership with Leeds Women's Aid. The groups are open to any women who are victims or survivors of domestic violence and abuse.

Anger Management for Young Peopleclick here

Individual Anger Management Sessions for Young People, early intervention for under 18's who are beginning to develop negative behaviour patterns. SUBJECT TO FUNDING

An intensive "EXPERIENTIAL" training programme, for people wanting to facilitate groups for perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse.

In group training for trainee facilitators, to continue developing skills in facilitating a perpetrator group.

Two hour session once a month for people who facilitate a domestic violence and abuse perpetrator group (or are planning to - following on from STOP's facilitator training course).

 
 

Be Safe programme available in Book or CD format It is essential that group members read or listen to the Be Safe Programme in between attending sessions.
